Leo XIV Baptizes the Murderous French Revolution: Says Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, are “Universal Ethical Imperatives”

Leo also praised the anti-Catholic French Enlightenment for recognizing “Human Rights.” Meanwhile, Rome describes the Church as a “movement,” and a German theologian describes Islam as Christianity.

On July 17, 1794, sixteen Carmelite nuns were taken through the streets of Paris to the guillotine. Their crime was fidelity to their religious vocation. Expelled from their monastery, they had continued living their rule as best they could. When the revolutionary authorities finally arrested them, they were condemned and executed. They sang hymns on their way to the scaffold. (Excerpts from Chris Jackson's long article)

Leo XIV openly rejects the reign of Christ the King over states and nations

Errors are found throughout Leo XIV's encyclical Magnifica Humanitas in which he says civil society possesses 'autonomy' from religion and that the state has 'full autonomy' from the Catholic Church.

Now, this authority, perfect in itself, and plainly meant to be unfettered, so long assailed by a philosophy that truckles to the State, the Church, has never ceased to claim for herself and openly to exercise. The Apostles themselves were the first to uphold it, when, being forbidden by the rulers of the synagogue to preach the Gospel, they courageously answered: “We must obey God rather than men.” — Pope Leo XIII, Immortale Dei, “On the Christian Constitution of States”
